There just might be a centralized Way, Truth, and Life after all. But the path to it is Decentralized.

“As long as the sore is on him he shall declare himself unclean, since he is in fact unclean. He shall dwell apart, making his abode outside the camp.”
—Leviticus 13:1-2, 44-46Cancel culture was alive and well in Jesus’ time too.
-
“For the world in its present form is passing away.”
—1 Corinthians 7:29-31It could be said in Jesus’ time. It could be said in 2024.

“I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out. From now on, let those having wives act as not having them, those weeping as not weeping, those rejoicing as not rejoicing, those buying as not owning, those using the world as not using it fully.”
—1 Corinthians 7:29-31Today, some call it Clown World. Others the “Great Reset”. Sounds like something the WEF might say? Saint Paul saw it coming a mile away. You can listen to “them”. Or you can listen to Him. There’s only one who truly knows the Way.

Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, “What are you looking for?”
They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?”
He said to them, “Come and you will see.”
So they went and saw where Jesus was staying, and they stayed with him that day.
—John 1:35-42Sometimes it’s hard to “stay”. Deep down, you know what you’re looking for. But you’re afraid to commit. Go for it. And stay awhile. Consistency is key. Whether you’re building a product, a business, or a Life around the Way and the Truth.

The body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body;
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? But whoever is joined to the Lord becomes one Spirit with him.
—1 Corinthians 6:13c-15a, 17-20It’s popular to say “my body, my choice”. And when fallible human institutions are the centralized arbiters of such choices, the dissenters may have a point. After all, who are we (or they) to judge? But if you believe in Him, you should be reminded: Is it ever really your choice? Is it really even…

The Lord called Samuel again, for a third time. Getting up and going to Eli, he said, “Here I am. You called me.” Then Eli understood that the Lord was calling the youth.
So he said to Samuel, “Go to sleep, and if you are called, reply, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’”
—1 Samuel 3:3b-10, 19Third time’s the charm?? 😉 Only after we’ve exhausted all other options do we tend to find the Lord. (or if we’re lucky enough to have an Eli who can show us the Way) What if we learned to find Him first?

The Lord called to Samuel, who answered, “Here I am.” Samuel ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. You called me.” “I did not call you,” Eli said. “Go back to sleep.” So he went back to sleep.
Again the Lord called Samuel, who rose and went to Eli. “Here I am,” he said. “You called me.” But Eli answered, “I did not call you, my son. Go back to sleep.”
—1 Samuel 3:3b-10, 19Like Samuel, so often our first (and second?) instinct is to look for Eli (i.e. politicians? scientists? therapists?) when something we don’t understand is calling for our attention.

“not because of any righteous deeds we had done but because of his mercy, he saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit”
—Titus 3:4-7Christmas & New Years – so close, yet so far in what they represent. Both appear to give us a chance at rebirth & renewal. One by making resolutions that we probably won’t keep. One by forgiving us for our repeated failed attempts at the former, if we’re willing to welcome a force greater than…

They shall be called the holy people, the redeemed of the LORD, and you shall be called “Frequented”, a city that is not forsaken.
—Isaiah 62:11-12What kind of city (or online community?) would you want to frequent? What kind of people do you want to build a future with? The choice is yours.

“Test everything; retain what is good. Refrain from every kind of evil.”
—1 Thessalonians 5:16-24Test & learn. Keep iterating. You never know until you try. Never be afraid to fail – not even in front of Him. He’ll forgive you. As long as you learn from your mistakes. Just don’t be evil. Almost sounds like the former motto of a certain Big Tech company? Until they decided to renege…
